The Poste
production
After recorded in studio, post-production, which includes editing, mixing and mastering steps, finalizes your music to make it ready for streaming (streaming or CD pressing).
EDITING
Editing consists of treating each of your tracks separately: removing sounds and breaths from the tracks, copying and pasting parts of your recordings, balancing the overall volume of the track, correct the accuracy of voice and instrument takes and recalibrate the tempo of your recordings.
Mixing
The first step in mixing is to block all tracks in the song (if not already done). Then we process each track so that all the instruments stand out. For this, we add effects: levels, EQ, panning, compression, reverb, phaser, flanger, chorus… These effects apply to the whole track or only to parts of it. The dosage of these effects is something very subtle. Indeed, this step gives a particular color to your piece. Finally, the mix allows each instrument to find its place in the mix to offer the best in the overall sound of the song.
Mastering
This completes your music production. Indeed, it corrects your mix so that it is adapted to all listening systems (headphones, car, hi-fi speakers).
Thanks to mastering, the mix gains power. We are expanding sound and optimizing sound volume to meet commercial standards. To do this, we apply computer processing to the mix (use of plug-ins).

post-production
our work methodology
First, we work hand in hand with artists. That’s why the first exchange is important. The more you tell us about your artistic universe, the better we identify your desires and the better the result.
We offer our post-production services for any type of project, recorded at Sonaye studio, another studio or even at home.
Finally, post-production is remote work, so no need to travel to the studio. However, if you record at the studio, we can advance together on editing and mixing during the session. This allows our sound engineer to collect your feedback live.
for editing
We need your tracks, in uncompressed format. We work on editing with Logic Pro X. We always send a first draft, which allows you to integrate your comments. Once you are satisfied with the editing, we export your edited tracks in uncompressed format.
for mixing
Send us your tracks in uncompressed format. After a first draft of the mix in MP3, your remarks allow us to modify the mix accordingly. The more information you give about what you expect from the mix, the better the result. You can also send us sample mixes (of your already mixed tracks or other artists whose color you like). As soon as you are satisfied, we export your mix in uncompressed format..
for the mastering
We need your mix in uncompressed format. Once your song is mastered, we convert your master to CD quality (16 bits and 44.1Khz). Upon request, we export to other resolutions and sample rates including the 48K HD MP3 for digital platforms. You receive a finished Master, ready for broadcast.
